Design
Designs are inspired by market research, client requirements and our knowledge of both the manufacturing and marketing of wireless accessories.  We specialize in unique case and charging designs (holding two patents), and also in creating a design language for your brand that can be carried across core products.  Clients receive renderings and samples for approval as we move projects from concept through the development of factory specifications.

Engineering
Our R&D team includes specialists in electrical and mechanical engineering with long experience developing charging products specifically for mobile phones. This team has developed a proprietary set of specifications for charging products that ensures the consistent quality and safety performance that differentiates Superior from its aftermarket competitors. Our team’s approach has earned the confidence of OEMs such as Palm and Motorola, who have contracted us to develop OEM products on their behalf. More recently, we have demonstrated an ability to overcome the issues associated with RF signal interference in the emerging mobile music category.

Development
Our fully-equipped R&D facility includes a 3D scanner and printer that can be used to create 3D renderings and physical models of products – cutting time out of the development process.  In addition, we have an in-house sewing facility managed by case designers with long experience in creating carrying products for mobile phones.  With a good selection of materials in stock, we can create sample cases in a few days.

Manufacturing
Superior has been partnering with factories in Asia for more than a decade and has several factories that work exclusively to produce our products.  All factories have been audited by our team, with our main factories operating on quality assurance and control processes that we developed for them. We continuously visit new factories to identify potential partners in emerging product categories.  We employ staff in Asia to manage projects, and have high-level managers based in the United States, who make frequent trips overseas for factory reviews.

Compatibility
Extensive efforts go into establishing correct compatibility between original devices and accessories.  All Superior products undergo compatibility testing in our laboratories, and proprietary software helps us manage backward compatibility.  A system of checks and balances against OEM published information has been designed into our system.  Our dynamic database updates compatibility in real-time, fueling our web sites and other product information sources.

Quality
We have developed a proprietary set of specifications per product category that are used in the manufacture of our products.  We also can test third party products against these specifications to make recommendations to clients about the expected performance of a product in the marketplace.  After a product has been chosen for distribution, it becomes subject to our quality control system, which includes visual inspection of all shipments against our database of golden sample images and descriptions.  Shipments of Superior-brand products also undergo random sample testing in our labs.
